Our Story

At The Sweet Slice Luxe Cakery we are passionate about creating delicious cakes and desserts. We are proud to say that all of our cakes are made from scratch in our very own kitchen.

Owner and cake artist, Sibahle, is a qualified pastry chef and who has always had a passion for baking.

Sibahle loves all things chocolate, and started her baking journey making her first chocolate mousse cake in 2016. Fast forward to today, we now have our very own shop situated on Florida road, where you can find freshly baked cupcakes, cake slices and pastries. You can also shop these products on the food delivery platform, Uber Eats.

Our online shop boasts a variety of occasion cakes and luxury gifting treats. So come and explore our delicious range of goodies, we guarantee you won't be disappointed!

AFRICA'S GREATEST BAKERS AWARDS

Can we add "Award Winning Bakery" to our bio yet? Our team won the Emerging Bakery Game Changer award at the inaugural ceremony for Africa's Greatest Bakers hosted in JHB. This award is a testament to our hard work and innovations in the baking world.

Our team decided to surprise the Ukhozi FM Radio team with cupcakes and treats for World Cake Day. We had a blast talking about the different types of cakes and pastries in the world cake.

SUN SIBAYA BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION

We were commissioned to create a cake masterpiece for the Sun Sibaya Casino's 20th Birthday celebration! Our pastry chef gave the crowd a show as she setup and decorated this cake during the celebration.

We officially launched Cake Card SA, our sister brand, which takes gifting to a new level. We paired a greeting card shaped box with cake slices, and now our customers can send hearfelt gifts anywhere nationswide!

We were commissioned to make and deliver a mini cake for a Netflix South Africa PR Gift. We had fun creating it and were excited to work with such a big brand!

We hosted our very first High Tea event in partnership with Madam & Sir Restaurant in celebration on Women's Day. Our team had so much fun preparing the different pastries and setting up the dessert station.
